Past IBAO Chairman, Danny Craig honoured with Hanover’s Business Citizen of the Year
(Toronto, Ontario) – Today, the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) is applauding long time insurance broker and past IBAO Chairman, Danny Craig for his recent honour of being named Hanover’s Business Citizen of the Year last week presented by the Hanover Chamber of Commerce.
Danny began his career when he started his own brokerage in 1977. Since that time his brokerage has grown to become Craig, McDonald, Reddon (CMR) Insurance Brokers Ltd. with five locations across Southern Ontario. Danny joined the IBAO executive as a means of promoting a better image of the broker community to help young people realize the wealth of opportunities available within it. One of Danny’s proudest achievements during his tenure with IBAO was forging the relationship between the association and the Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving (OSAID), an organization IBAO has proudly supported for more than a decade.
“Danny is an exceptional insurance broker and community leader,” said Randy Carroll, IBAO CEO. “His tireless commitment to his clients and community are what makes an association like ours so proud to call him one of our own.”
The Hanover Chamber of Commerce presented Danny’s brokerage with the ‘Business Citizen of the Year’ award last week. CMR Insurance sponsors a number of local causes including, the Grey Bruce Literacy Council, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Parkinson Society. CMR also encourages and promotes community service within their organization for local not-for-profit committees, clubs and organizations. CMR Insurance was chosen as the recipient because of the countless hours donated annually by CMR staff to benefit the community.
“Brokers are committed to protecting and informing the citizens of their communities,” added Carroll. “CMR’s contributions to the community of Hanover is just an example of the incredible work being done across this province to better serve the Ontario people.
